A Place Where You Can Be You

HOW DO I GET CONNECTED?

Finding out what you like to do:

What do you like to do?  What are your interests?  What do you have a passion for?

A good place to find out is through OBC301.  A few times a year, Oakwood offers a class to help you discover where you fit into a ministry.  It is a class designed to help you find your God-given gifts and abilitities.  To find out more about OBC301, click here.

Would you like to join Oakwood?

If you would like to join Oakwood or simply learn more about us, OBC101 is for you.  This class is the basic introduction of our church family.  Since we have members from many different church backgrounds, this class was designed to clearly explain what our church is all about. Would you like to get baptized?

Accepting Jesus as your Savior is the most important thing you could ever do.  It means that you believe that He died on the cross for your sins and rose from the dead to bridge the gap between you and God.  If you have come to this point, you may desire to take the next step - baptism.  At Oakwood, we come together and celebrate with you on this great occassion. To get more information on baptism, click here.

Are you interested in being part of a small group?

Oakwood has many small groups.  Some meet in our members' homes and some meet in our buildings.  Some are based on Bible studies and other are centered around studying a book.  Small groups are where we build real relationships with others while we grow in our faith.  If you want to be involved with a small group of people, build lasting relationships, and learn about our Lord along the way, you can find a group to join here at Oakwood.  For more information on our Small Groups, click here.

Do you like to sing, play a musical instrument, or work behind the scenes to make things happen in our services?

Our Worship Team has many opportunities for performers and hands-on workers.  If you can sing, or play a musical instrument, we would love to have you. All of Oakwood's band and vocalist positions are volunteer and require an audition.

Our Technical Team needs volunteers to be camera operators, photographers, and people who love to set up equipment.  We also have a team of sound board operators, stage hands, multimedia people and more. Click here to find out where you might fit in.

Would you like to volunteer to help out in other areas of Oakwood?

As a growing church, we are always in the need for volunteers!  Serving on a ministry team can be a rewarding experience.  Whatever your skill, there is probably a place where you can put it to good use.  By serving you can change someone's life - maybe your own!  For a list of opportunities that match your gifts and abilities please click here.
