Here Comes the Sun

“Here Comes The Sun” is an old “Beatles” song. It was part of the graduation video that was made for my daughter when she got out high school. The song is to remind us to let the sun rise everyday in our hearts. So whenever I have the opportunity to hear that song, I think of her. God gives us a brand new opportunity each day to let the sun shine in our hearts. Whatever we encounter on our journey, when we look to Him for guidance and direction, He’s going to shine His light in our lives. There’s no doubt that we will have problems. There’s no doubt that storms will come. God teaches us to turn to Him and to rely on Him in good times and in bad times. Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”

Some days it can be a struggle to even get out of bed in the morning, much less go to work. When we remember that God has blessed us with another day and has given us another opportunity to share Him with others, we have to be thankful. He let’s the sun rise on us for a reason, we have to tell others what He’s done in our lives. It’s our job to let others know about Jesus. 2 Corinthians 4:6 – “For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so that we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.”

Matthew 5:14 ESV
You are the light of the world, a city set on a hill can not be hidden.

Psalm 43:3 NKJV
Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your tabernacle.

John 8:12 ESV
And Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
