Don’t Quit

Whatever it is that you find joy in doing, if it’s healthy and benefits you, or someone else, don’t quit. Whatever talent or skill you have at your disposal, use it. Sometimes we think we have nothing to offer. Actually, we all have something to offer that can benefit someone else. If you think you don’t, then you probably haven’t searched hard enough, or you may feel like what you have to offer doesn’t matter. IT MATTERS!! We’re all in constant learning mode, if we just pay attention. What comes so easy to one person is probably a difficult or even frightening task for someone else. You may never know the positive influence you have on somebody, but God knows! He’s using you and your talent to make a positive impact in someone else’s life. Sit down and have a conversation with God. Take the time to listen to Him. Ask Him to show you what you can do to make a difference for His sake. Ask Him to use you, and He will. You may not see the progress right away, but be patient. Rest assured that God is preparing you for great things. He has the road ahead of you ready for action. You’ll have good days and not so good days. You’ll have days where you may think there’s nothing to say, there’s nothing I have that can help someone else today, but God knows different, and you just have to trust Him to give you what you need, and He does.

There are countless ordinary individuals in scripture that God uses to accomplish His work. Individuals who were nobodies. But He used them to do His extraordinary work. Noah was a drunk, God used him to repopulate the earth after the “flood”. Abraham, at the age of 100, had his son “Isaac”. Through his lineage, eventually Jesus was born. David was an adulterer and a murderer. David knew he had done wrong and he repented and turned back to God, and God forgave Him. One of the most unlikely individuals that God uses throughout scripture is Saul, otherwise known as the apostle, Paul. Paul was a former persecutor of Christians. Jesus turned his life around. Paul dedicated his life to Christ. He ended up writing many of the books in the New Testament.

So don’t quit, don’t give up. God can use all of us for His glory!!!

About Rita:
Being a Christ follower throughout my life has been quite the journey.  He’s taken me through deep waters and trials that have tested me over the years.  I have fallen so many times, and He’s always been there to lift me back up on my feet.  Through a series of broken relationships, I finally figured out what was important to me, putting God first and letting Him lead me.  I love writing and learning, and growing with God.  I have a beautiful, adult daughter that I love spending time with whenever I can.  My hope is to be a tool for God to use to lead others to Him.
