Getting Answers

Sometimes we just need answers. Things begin to happen with us that don’t seem normal. We assume it’s just part of life. We become more tired and it’s just because we’re getting older. We can’t keep up the way we used to. I just need more exercise, right, but I’m too tired, my body hurts. I may be a little older, but I’m too young to feel this tired. I can’t keep up with people I should be able to keep up with. That’s when weknow we have to change things. We have to get the right help and quit making excuses. God provides the resources, we just have to use them. Sometimes it takes a little legwork to search out the help that we need. God leads us in the right direction, we just have to pay attention.

Ephesians 3:20-21 NASB- Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

Changing things up isn’t easy, but I have to do it for health reasons. If I want to feel better, I have to follow the guidelines. By following the directions and doing what we are supposed to do, we get the results that benefit us and help us to feel better. For me, it’s like reading God’s Word. If I want to know Him better, if I want to know what His plans are for me, I have to do what’s required. I have to put in the effort and do the legwork. I have to spend time with Him. When we slide and we put things off or we don’t make certain things a priority, we begin to feel the draining effects of it physically, mentally, and spiritually. I want to feel better. I want to be able to do the things that God has called me to do. That requires listening to Him, being patient, and doing the right things to take care of myself.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NASB- Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

3 John 1:2 NASB- Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.

About Rita:
Being a Christ follower throughout my life has been quite the journey.  He’s taken me through deep waters and trials that have tested me over the years.  I have fallen so many times, and He’s always been there to lift me back up on my feet.  Through a series of broken relationships, I finally figured out what was important to me, putting God first and letting Him lead me.  I love writing and learning, and growing with God.  I have a beautiful, adult daughter that I love spending time with whenever I can.  My hope is to be a tool for God to use to lead others to Him.
