God is for Me

Knowing Jesus is for me, means I can rest. I don’t have to be hurried, I don’t have to constantly look over my shoulder. He’s done everything for me. When we give ourselves to Christ, when we acknowledge Him as our Savior, He comes into our lives and He takes up residence.

Revelation 3:20 ESV – Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with Me.

Trouble and heartache are things we must deal with in this life. What bothers us, bothers God. If something breaks our heart, it breaks His. He’s bigger and stronger, and completely capable of handling everything. We weren’t created to know everything, to handle everything, to be in control of everything. God is our Creator, Redeemer, and Savior. He knows the sin, He knows the fears, He knows the final outcome. When we witness things that bother us, and we don’t understand, God stands by us and takes us through the dark places. He has everything under His hand. We will all stand before Him one day, and justice will be served.

Romans 12:19 ESV – Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

Knowing God stands with me is my biggest comfort. He’s my ultimate cheerleader. I trip over my words, I back down out of fear, I don’t say things I should’ve said, I feel under pressure, but God never gives up. He knows my heart. He lifts me up and tells me to give everything over to Him, and He handles all of it. The things that scare us, the things that we have no control over, the things that hurt us or hurt the people we love, He understands. I don’t know His plans, but I know they are for good. He has it already worked out before I can even comprehend it. I know He is for me!!

Psalm 55:22 ESV – Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.

2 Timothy 1:6-7 ESV – For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of My hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

About Rita:
Being a Christ follower throughout my life has been quite the journey.  He’s taken me through deep waters and trials that have tested me over the years.  I have fallen so many times, and He’s always been there to lift me back up on my feet.  Through a series of broken relationships, I finally figured out what was important to me, putting God first and letting Him lead me.  I love writing and learning, and growing with God.  I have a beautiful, adult daughter that I love spending time with whenever I can.  My hope is to be a tool for God to use to lead others to Him.
