God’s Children

As parents, we go through a struggle every day. We want the very best for our kids. We want them to be safe, we want them to make the right choices. We want them to follow God. It’s hard when we see them doing things that they shouldn’t be doing, or just not caring about the importance of a life led by God. What are we supposed to do. We do the best we can when we still have control. As they grow and get older, we continue to live our lives in front of them, making sure that we continue to show them Christ. It becomes their decision and we just continue to pray for them, trusting God and knowing that He has a plan for them.

1 Philippians 4:6 ESV- Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

God hears us, we may think He doesn’t sometimes, but He always does. He hears every concern and every prayer. With His guidance and strength, we are able to rest and find our peace in Him. He controls every outcome. We have to remember that His ways are bigger than our ways. We can’t see the big picture yet, but God does.

1 Peter 3:12 ESV- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

So we rest knowing our children’s lives are in His hands. We pray and we turn it over to God. We are His children. He sees the mess that we can get ourselves into. We ask Him to lead us, we ask Him to walk with us, and we pray for His direction in our lives and the lives of our children.

John 10:2-4 NKJV- But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To Him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.

About Rita:
Being a Christ follower throughout my life has been quite the journey.  He’s taken me through deep waters and trials that have tested me over the years.  I have fallen so many times, and He’s always been there to lift me back up on my feet.  Through a series of broken relationships, I finally figured out what was important to me, putting God first and letting Him lead me.  I love writing and learning, and growing with God.  I have a beautiful, adult daughter that I love spending time with whenever I can.  My hope is to be a tool for God to use to lead others to Him.
