Grace

Standing firm in Christ and being secure takes work and dedication. God laid the foundation for us. He gave us directions to follow and live by. 2 Timothy 3:16 – “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.” Having a relationship with God doesn’t mean we won’t endure pain and suffering, it doesn’t mean we won’t make mistakes, it doesn’t mean we won’t fall. It does mean that our conscience turns to Him and we seek His comfort, guidance, and forgiveness in everything. Psalm 51:10 – “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.”

God created us to share in an abundant, joyful life with Him. He provided everything we could ever want. 2 Timothy 1:9 – For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was His plan before the beginning of time–to show us His grace through Christ Jesus.” Having God on my side and knowing that I am forgiven leaves me more determined than ever to honor Him and love Him with all that is in me. He provides me with strength, with courage, with love, and His grace surrounds me.

Romans 5:1-2 ESV
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is a gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Colossians 2:13-14 ESV
And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with Him, having forgiven us all of our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This He set aside, nailing it to the cross.
