Unshakable Faith

Building a lasting connection and a strong bond with someone takes being persistent. It’s a lot of work. You go through good times and bad times. Understanding how another person is wired and why they act a certain way and do the things they do can turn us upside down. Our world has changed drastically over the years. What one generation perceives as normal, another generation has a whole different take on it. When we love someone we have to keep the connection in tact. Sometimes obstacles get in the way, we just have to fight harder. Generations are different, people are different. Loving somebody with all of our heart means we never give up on them. We find our special connection and we build on that. We share our faith, we pray, and we leave it to God.

Unshakable faith is trusting God whole-heartedly without pause or worry. That may seem difficult in a world where we have a strong need to be in control. I’ve learned through my own personal relationships that trying to help manage and take care of another person’s life only wears me down. Knowing God, trusting Him completely, trusting the situation to Him, and letting go has brought me a sense of peace that is so reassuring. I know that God is in control of everything, “I’m not.” I know that God has an answer for everything, “I don’t.” I know that He will take care of everything, “I can’t.” Knowing all of that is the most comforting peace I can have.

Waking up each morning and knowing whatever challenges come my way, whatever circumstances I am in, God’s hands are in it and He’s going to work it out for His purpose. When I find myself getting frustrated or anxious, I slow down and remember that my Heavenly Father has it all under control. Satan will try to sneak in and get me rattled, but he quickly wears himself down. I have an unshakable bond with God that can’t be touched.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 ESV“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

Exodus 14:14 ESV
The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”

Psalm 62:1-2 ESV
For God alone my soul waits in silence; from Him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.
