Acceptance
10
Aug '19

Wow, I can often reflect back on so many times when I felt rejected by others. I think maybe we all can. Especially going through adolescence and early adulthood. But rejection sure isn’t limited to those specific areas of life. God teaches us to be accepting of others. He created us all equal to live peacefully together. It doesn’t mean we accept bad behavior and follow along with it. We are supposed to love people as God

Full Circle Forgiveness
10
Aug '19

Wow – God sure does know how to get us where it counts! I was recently out on a date (with a Christian man) and the conversation came around to forgiveness. There were a lot of things in his life that he was working through, and I gave my two cents worth about forgiveness and how we need to forgive others since Christ forgives us. I even wrote a blog about it (which I later sent to him) earlier this year (you can find that blog here). I get it – having

Celebrate our Love
03
Aug '19

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
So, this week I am on vacation, and it has been really fun. It’s a time to forget about the hustle and bustle of work, cheer practices, and responsibilities, and take time to be thankful for the things I have. For example, my wife and I have enjoyed

God’s Children
03
Aug '19

As parents, we go through a struggle every day. We want the very best for our kids. We want them to be safe, we want them to make the right choices. We want them to follow God. It’s hard when we see them doing things that they shouldn’t be doing, or just not caring about the importance of a life led by God. What are we supposed to do. We do the best we can when we still have control. As they grow and get older, we continue to live our lives in front of them, making sure that we continue to show them Christ. It

It’s Not About Me

Jul '19

Sometimes I feel like I’ve failed God. I start to doubt myself. I start to see things about myself that wouldn’t be pleasing to God. I start to feel unworthy. I have to remember that I live in this fallen world, and I’m destined to make mistakes and failures. As long as I’m in this world, satan will do his best to mess with my mind and cloud my judgment. Satan can’t take my salvation, but he can sneak around and try to trip me up.

Return to Limitless Love
27
Jul '19

I think as Christians we recognize that God’s love for us is limitless. We’ve learned that in the Bible and we’ve taken that to heart. I wrote a blog on this topic many months back (which I’ll link at the bottom of this blog*), and it was coming from a place where we, as Christians know (and try to fathom) how much God truly loves us.
However, it’s a bit harder to recognize and accept that God’s love for those that have wronged us (or wronged other people – especially people we love) is also limitless.

Turn to God
20
Jul '19

God teaches me something new each day. I try to stay focused on Him. I try to tune out worldly attitudes and distractions. It can be so difficult at times. I want to get things done, I have a plan, but there is always something tugging at me. I find in those times, that’s when I need God more than ever. That’s when I have to depend on Him and let go of the frustration I feel. God comforts me. He takes away my anxiety. He lets

God’s Might

Jul '19

We all go through rough patches in life. Isn’t that part of what makes life “life”? It’s not always “roses”, as we’d hope life to be. Being part of a church that cares about and values each other as brothers and sisters, and a church that has prayer warriors that step in when needed is so powerful when someone in the church goes through a rough patch. Sometimes when a rough patch hits, you don’t even know what to pray, or don’t have the energy to pray yourself. I’ve personally felt the strength of prayers sent up to Jesus on my

God’s Peace
13
Jul '19

I am filled with God’s peace. There’s things that I automatically tend to worry about, and I know better. I know God is fully and completely in control. My mind can tend to wander at times, that’s when worry creeps in. Worry is a human default mode that kicks in when I start to think I can fix things on my own, I’m forgetting that I’m not the One in control, He is. I relax knowing that His peace surrounds me. I relax knowing that all of the questions that I ask myself, He’s already answered. When I ask myself, “Why couldn’t I have done that? Why did this happen? Why didn’t they choose me? Why did I have to go through

Out to Lunch Testimony
13
Jul '19

My family and I recently went out to lunch on a Saturday afternoon and encountered a waitress who seemed to be very happy with her job and overflowing with joy. There were 7 of us, and I could tell by the way she talked to us, served us, and went out of her way with kindness that there was something different about this lady.
As the meal went on, she continued to bring us things, and every time she’d stop to just talk. Finally, right before it looked like we were wrapping things up and getting ready to leave, I guess she felt like it was the
